Fern & Fire

Studio no. 4 · wheel-thrown in small batches

Pots with a pulse,
and the plants to fill them.

We throw glazed stoneware on Tuesdays and pot up the plants on Fridays. Everything here was made by two hands and watered by four.

The fire half

Every glaze here is mixed in the studio from raw materials — wood ash from the neighbour's stove, iron oxide, a cobalt we're stingy with because it's dear. Because they're reactive, no two pots pull the same. The one you get is the only one exactly like it.
